As beautiful as it is useful, North Hills creates a delightful display as it adds color and texture to the landscape. Small, bright white flowers have prominent eyes of rich violet-purple that really catch the attention of passersby when planted in groups. Blooms appear in late spring with a later rebloom in fall, producing plenty of star-shaped flowers to enjoy during the growing season. Reaching only 4-6" tall, this lovely Carpet Phlox is ideal for front borders, rock gardens and mixed containers. This is a showy variety that also makes an outstanding ground cover, controlling soil erosion on sloping garden sites and adding color to large areas of the landscape. It perennializes quite well, reappearing yearly with increased beauty and bloom. Drought tolerant and easy to grow. Attracts butterflies, but not deer. Phlox subulata 'North Hills'
