This colorfast sedum makes an impactful, lasting backdrop to your rock garden or really, wherever you'd rather not mow, weed, or water too often. Firecracker forms a dense, thick mat of succulent foliage that thrives in drought and is tough for weeds to get past. It's beautiful, especially if you play up the contrast in planting it next to yellow-green or blue-green foliage. You can also plant it in a mixed container that needs little extra color to play off of. If you're using the spiller-filler-thriller ratio of container gardening, Firecracker is the lovely low-maintenance filler you can rely on all through the season.
