Unique Characterstics: This 'American Series' Orienpet lily is a cross between a Trumpet lily and an Oriental lily resulting in extraordinary flower size and substance. A common characteristic of the American Series lilies is that rather than producing many daughter bulbs, these lilies put all their energy into developing large mother bulbs resulting in their large impressive stature. The bulbs are slow to split apart. Unlike most dutch bred lilies that are selected for their cut flower or out-of-season forcing ability, these are bred in field conditions with unpredictable weather conditions and have turned out excellent.

These are absolutely beautiful! They bloomed the first year and have come up every year since planting. Highly recommend. I get a lot of compliments on these.
"This is the 2nd year for these to bloom and I can honestly say I am very impressed! They are over 5 feet tall and covered with huge, fragrant flowers. I can smell them over 20 feet away. Despite a very very harsh winter last year - they came back and wowed us! Highly recommended!"
This year I've planted 10 lily tree bulbs from your catalog. What a gift! Huge blossoms with wonderful aroma made a welcome addition to my part-shade garden. Highly recommend to all!
"The Lily Tree (aka Orienpet Lily) is one of the most beautiful and fragrant lillies I have ever seen. The size of the blooms are very large. I've never been much of a fan of lillies, but this flower totally changed my mind. I live in zone5/6 and this plant is very hardy. I definately recommend this one."
