Send this giant rose up the latticework of an arbor, let it crawl along a wall or fence, or train it to climb a pillar. Because it grows up to 12' tall at maturity, you have any number of options. Regardless of how you use this magnificent climber, it's sure to add some pizzazz to your landscape. Dublin Bay is highly regarded for its vigorous growth, seemingly ceaseless flower production, brilliant coloring and strong resistance to disease. Its clear, true red, fully double flowers form on new and old wood, covering the plant from spring until frost with huge, 4½" blooms. Not only will these hardy blooms open in cool weather, but they are tough enough to take the heat. Rosa 'Dublin Bay'

  • planting instructionsDig a hole large enough to easily accommodate root structure. In cold climates, position the graft knot/crown 2 to 3 inches below ground level, in mild climates, position the graft knot/crown right at ground level. Place the plant at the proper height in the hole, and fill two-thirds full with the amended soil. Using a gentle stream of water, fill the remainder of the hole. As the water seeps in, it will moisten the roots and surrounding soil, removing any air pockets. After the water has completely settled, fill the hole to the top with the remaining soil. Sprinkle lightly with water to assure good moisture.
  • pruningRemoving spent blooms will encourage more flowers. Prune dramatically in early spring, after the danger of frost has passed and before new growth has begun.move any dead or damaged branches.
