Rarely does a name capture the essence of a flower so completely. Absolute Treasure is a covetable, unique iris with pastel blue beauty and a heavenly fragrance. Noted for its superior flower form and seductive perfume, this soft blue iris has won the Wister Medal, Dykes Medal, an Honorable Mention, an Award of Merit, and our hearts. Absolute Treasure is an absolute favorite in our test gardens, where its heavily ruffled blooms and light yellow veining shine all day long.   • Planting Instructions: Set rhizome so only bottom half is below ground level. Firm well and water thoroughly. Plant where they will get at least 5 hours of sun per day.
  • Winter Care: Mulch in colder climates and remove in early spring before growth starts.

  • Flower Form: 41/2" flowers are fan-shaped, with three drooping petals called falls and three upright petals called standards.
  • Foliage Type: Glaucous-green, sword-like fans of stiff upright leaves with some dying back in colder climates in winter.
  • Resistance: Deer Resistant
  • Pruning: Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6" fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
  • Soil Requirement: Well drained preferred. Quite tolerant of a wide range of soils.
  • Watering Requirement: Average water needs. Water regularly, do not overwater
  • Additional Information: All irises are toxic. Do not ingest.
