Considered one of the darkest of the black irises, Before the Storm Bearded Iris features moderately sized flowers with widely-flaring falls and a soft fragrance. A midseason bloomer, Before the Storm's purple to pitch-black coloring is so dark that it reflects nearly blue off the petals. Easy to grow, deer resistant and drought tolerant, this black iris will return year after year.
