This RHS Award of Garden Merit winner took the ornamental tree world by storm, thanks to its unique color and incredible performance. In spring, delicate foliage turns from wine to deep burgundy alongside small purple flowers. This color holds until fall when the leaves turn to a vibrant fire-engine red. Blackish-red bark is visible in the winter and adds picturesque color to the landscape. Known for its vigor, Bloodgood is an ideal specimen tree or focal point, standing in contrast to summery greens. Very low maintenance and tolerant of urban pollution.
