This sun-loving shrub produces loads of fragrant, soft, lavender-blue flower panicles that are a delight in the garden and cut floral arrangements. Blooming in the summer and fall, it provides blooms when few other shrubs are blooming. Butterflies, bees and hummingbirds flock to it, sipping its nectar. In cooler grow zones, this shrub acts more like a herbaceous perennial and dies back in the winter. Blue Buddleia, also called a Butterfly Bush, is easy to grow and performs best in borders, cottage gardens or butterfly gardens.
