Product Description

Here's a dogwood with foliage as striking as its flowers—a wonderful new offering that is sure to add style and flair to your late-springtime landscape. Blue Ray boasts a unique vase-shaped silhouette with striking blue-green foliage that lays flat and allows the large, 3-4" ivory-white blooms to steal the show. As fall approaches, the leaves deepen to red for an entirely new, yet just as beautiful, look. Exhibits good disease and insect resistance. The shiny, blue-green, turgid leaves give the tree a healthy, sturdy appearance all season. To keep this dogwood looking its best, remove dead wood after the flowering period is done. Makes a fine specimen tree; does best when planted in rich, neutral-to-acid soil. Not recommended for shallow, chalky soils. Selected by Ray Jackson, Jackson Nursery. Cornus kousa chinensis 'JN6'PPAF
