The large, fragrant flowers keep coming from mid spring to early summer, then it goes dormant in summer, but blooming starts again with cooler fall weather. It's happy in a pot or in the ground, and is very long-lived if given humusy and freely draining soil and kept evenly moist. Best in morning sun and afternoon shade.
