    Champagne Elegance is a very reliable performer—it's won awards for its show, and when planted in full sun it has exceptional disease resistance. The flowers are lovely, the champagne hues and ruffled form make them feel very sophisticated. Also, Champagne Elegance is a reblooming iris variety, so no matter if you create a mass planting, or surround it with other reblooming iris varieties, you'll have an extra-long iris season to look forward to.

    • Spacing: 18 - 24 inches
    • Hardiness Zone: 3-9
    • Flowering Date: Late spring-summer, may rebloom.
    • Planting Instructions: Set rhizomes so bottom 1/2 is below ground-level, firm well and water thoroughly.
    • Winter Care: Mulch in colder climates, after the ground freezes. Remove mulch early in spring, before the new growth starts.

    • Growth Rate: Fast, once established.

    • Flower Color: Orange, Yellow, White
    • Flower Form: Classic Iris form.
    • Foliage Type: Glaucous-green, sword-like fans of stiff upright leaves in spring and summer, with some die-back in winter in colder climates.
    • Pruning: Remove spent flower stems. In late fall, cut foliage to 6" fans. Remove plant debris to prevent borers from overwintering. After flowering, and cut foliage back in late fall.
    • Soil Requirement: Prefers well-drained soil, but is tolerant of a wide range of soils.
    • Watering Requirement: Average water needs, do not overwater.
    • Additional Information: Blooms late spring to early summer may rebloom in late summer to early fall.
