Clematis Grefve Erik Ruuth

The name is a mouthful, but well worth the effort for fans of so-called double clematis. Bred in Sweden, this shining white confection is rarely seen in the United States. We'll just call her Ruuth. With an intriguing ruffled form, Ruuth's sepals are stacked, creating the appearance of a layered wedding cake. Early flowers show a pale green midrib that mature to a pristine white, with a kiss of pink of the sepals' reverse. Attractive yellow centers highlight the brightness of Ruuth's white sepals. Ruuth is best grown on a support, and can be planted along arches, obelisks, or fencing. A medium plant with large flowers, Ruuth is a truly unique and charming double clem. Clematis 'KBK02'
