    Product Description

Plant Spooneri Clematis, and you'll be rewarded with a large, easy–care vine that will quickly climb an arch or arbor while gracing your garden with its lovely fragrance. Prominent yellow centers add a pop of color to the cloud–like masses of wavy–edged flowers. It blooms on last year's growth, so pruning should be limited to a little trim or thatch removal after bloom. Clematis x montana 'Spoonerii'

In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the RED category. It only blooms well on old vines. Only trim after flowering to remove damaged growth or to keep the plant tidy.
