This recent cultivar from Szczepan Marczynski's collection blooms profusely from early to midsummer and continues moderately until fall. The medium–to–large flowers feature brilliant purple sepals and varied bars of pink that lead to a pale yellow center topped with more purple. This Clematis can be used to create cover when trained up a trellis or pergola. Clematis 'Cloudburst'

In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the GREEN pruning category. These Clematis bloom on new vines that emerge from the ground each year or stems from near the bottom of older vines. Prune hard in the spring and as often as you like to encourage reblooming and keep the plant as tidy as you like.
