Product Description

An interesting new variety, Dark Butterfly features robust yellow flowers backed with bright pink that bleeds over the tip of each petal. The abundance of flowers that Dark Butterfly provides in lieu of the huge flowers of dinnerplate dahlias more than makes up for its smaller stature. Also, with a more petite dahlia, staking is rarely needed. If you're looking for weeks of cut flowers, then this dahlia is for you. A stunning addition to borders. If temperatures in your area get below 35 degrees, dahlias should be dug up in fall and stored in a frost-free location. Although, we have seen over-wintering success in zone 6 when tubers are planted slightly lower in the ground than normal, or heavily mulched. Deer tend to avoid. Dahlia decorative 'Dark Butterfly'
