  • Modern hybrid with good garden and container performance
The soft, alluring purple of the large Deborah Dahl Clematis draws the eye throughout its long bloom season. The texture and subtly curving sepals are accentuated by the inky purple bar down the center. A Clematis from the Vancouver series, it's a collector's favorite and often difficult to find in the US. It's bred to be free flowering, but the modern, compact habit makes it possible to feature it in container gardening. Clematis 'Deborah Dahl'

In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the YELLOW pruning category. It blooms best on old vine. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering.
