Violet–blue flowers with paler midribs and a striking, creamy yellow center will attract attention in the garden. Its semi–double flowers open in late spring, followed by single flowers in late summer. The interesting fluffy–looking seed heads are also a nice garden accent, creating architectural interest in the garden, well into fall. Attracts pollinators. This is a medium–size vine that will reach around 6–8' tall. It's great for trellises and trailing along a fence line. Or you can show off your creative landscaping techniques and send it crawling along a perennial bed. Clematis
Daniel Deronda Clematis is in the YELLOW pruning category. It blooms best on old wood, but it can also bloom on new wood. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering. See our Stoplight Pruning Guide for more information.
