Product Description

Ginger is widely used in stir fries, sauces, and pickling, so why not grow it at home? You'll have a delicious product well superior to purchased powder. Excellent as a container plant and heat-tolerant, ginger is a wonderfully low maintenance plant. Mature ginger rhizomes can be harvested four to six months after planting. Or, harvest sooner (at 4-6 weeks) for a milder, more tender product referred to as "baby ginger," which is taking off in culinary circles. Keep in mind that this plant, above ground, may be spindly looking, but the resulting produce will excite your tastebuds. Zingiber officinale
