Product Description

Traditionally, red peonies are a symbol of royalty, embodying prosperity, honor and respect-and Estrellia certainly lends a majestic air to the garden. Itoh, or intersectional, peonies are a cross between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies and Estrellia is like no other itoh peony you've seen before. Large flowers six to seven inches across, open in a clear garnet red, darkening to near-black. These blooms absolutely cannot be ignored, standing tall on sturdy stems with finely cut, lush green foliage as a beautiful backdrop. Peonies typically take a few years to become established, but these dramatic red specimens will be well worth the wait. Paeoia itoh 'Estrellia'
