Product Description
First Editions® Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea blooms in sweet, creamy white with a flavorful splash of pinks and red later in the season. Huge, high-piled panicles of white blooms emerge in midsummer to be held upright on strong, red stems. The flowers transition to pink as nighttime temperatures cool, finally turning to a strawberry red in the late season. As new blooms pop up on these panicles, you'll enjoy a mix of cream and berry-red flowers on each stem. By late season, these upright plants will show off a cascade of flower heads reminiscent of strawberry-and-vanilla-swirled ice cream cones. Hardy in nearly all of the United States, Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea produces enough blooms to fill your garden, your cut arrangements, and your dried displays. - Planting Instructions: Dig a hole twice as wide as plant's root sysetm and 4-6" deeper. Break up the soil a bit. Place plant in hole with crown at soil line. Begin to backfil soil, stopping to water in at the halfway point. Once water settles, fill in remaind of hole and water again.
