    Product Description

Bright red blooms—a favorite of hummingbirds—appear midsummer to fall. This is one you'll want to be consistent with watering, as it does best in moist soils. Or to save your sprinklers, just plant it along the edge of a stream or pond—the brilliant color adds a touch of intrigue to a sleepy pool. It's a native wildflower in North America. The display can expand and perennialize through the years, if it's in a good location and the flowers are left to self-seed. Otherwise, you can deadhead, and you'll potentially even get a rebloom. Lobelia cardinalis
