Product Description

The Forest Pansy Redbud, a selection of the native Eastern Redbud, heralds spring with bright rosy spring blooms paired with finely-veined red-purple foliage. This medium sized tree can be grown in full sun as a focal point to draw the eye, or used as an understory accent under much larger trees to create a forest woodland oasis. This versatility allows it to anchor other shrubs and perennials in both sunny or shade borders. Its heart-shaped leaves provide a dramatic performance in the fall, turning from maroon to shades of red, orange and yellow. As a native tree, the Forest Pansy Redbud is hugely adaptable to North American gardens, and can handle many varied soil types. This tree keeps its color best in full sun. Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy'
