It's rare to find a large-flowering Clematis with a lovely, noticeable fragrance—much less one as sweet as vanilla. But stop to admire it in hot weather, and you'll catch Fragrant Star's lovely scent. This is a showy white flower with a beautiful texture, and it looks great in a patio pot or trailing up a trellis. A Clematis from the Vancouver series, it's a collector's favorite and often difficult to find in the US. It's bred to be free flowering, but the modern, compact habit makes it possible to feature it in container gardening. Clematis 'Fragrant Star'
