A lovely hedge or foundation plant, this exquisite gardenia has a more upright habit with shiny, dark green leaves and large, fragrant blooms that can be smelled from a distance. True to its name, Frost Proof resists late spring frosts without damage unlike typical fragrant gardenia. Also a lovely bouquet, trim a creamy white bloom or two to brighten up a room and add an unforgettable aroma. Best when planted in dappled shade, minimal pruning is required. Originally introduced by the late J.C. Raulston of North Carolina State University. Evergreen. Gardenia 'Frost Proof'
