Product Description

When the hostas look good, they make the whole landscape lush, lively and inviting. You can have confidence in that strong performance if you work Guacamole Hosta into your design. This variety combines good sun tolerance, rapid growth and beautiful foliage. Shiny, large leaves have lighter centers that tend to start a little greener and take on yellow tones as they mature. They contrast nicely with the darker margins and really pop in a shady spot. Fragrant flowers rise up over the plant on long scapes in August. Hosta 'Guacamole' We keep a robust selection of hostas that have won Hosta of the Year in our selection, like Guacamole—the 2002 winner. This is a fantastic program by the American Hosta Growers Association. As there are many, many cultivars out there to choose from, this association highlights one hosta each year that puts on an exceptionally beautiful and reliable performance in gardens all across the USA, so home gardeners can choose their new hosta with confidence.
