Product Description

The foliage grows long, upright and very straight in blue and green hues. Then, as it matures it will take on deeper hues until it's rich in shades of dark maroon. Fantastic vertical interest. From late summer to early fall, you'll also get to enjoy pretty tan flowerheads. As for where to plant Hot Rod, it is best in full sun. If you're planting it for the bold foliage color, that will be where you're going to get the most powerful color development. It is drought tolerant, thriving well in a wide range of soils with the exception of very wet sites. Panicum virgatum 'Hot Rod'
