These two varieties area very impressive! Big as a quarter. Older extra-large varieties were a bit lacking in flavor. These two both have excellent flavor and eating quality. Spartan starts off the fireworks in the early season, Bonus extends the harvest by 2 weeks into August (in Michigan, earlier in warmer zones). To get maximum fruit size you should plant two varieties. Bonus and Spartan will cross pollinate, allowing maximum fruit size development.
