- Sun Exposure: Full Sun
- Height/Habit: 4 - 5 feet
- Spread: 18 inches
- Hardiness Zone: 3-8
- Planting Instructions: Set crowns 12 - 18 inches apart.
- Winter Care: Roots grow deep, so they're very hardy. They need a winter dormant period and cannot survive in warm climates.
- Shipped: STD GRADE
- Shipping Season: Spring
- Foliage Type: Very fine, airy, fern-like foliage.
- Pruning: After harvest, asparagus must be completely dormant before mowing. Mow late Winter or early Spring.
- Soil Requirement: Well-drained, sandy loam that is fertile and rich in organic matter. Loose at least 18" deep. Adaptable to a wide range of soils as long as soil is well-drained.
- Additional Information: Produces 2 to 4 times more spears than older Washington varieties. Jersey Hybrids series was introduced by researchers at Rutgers University for its high yield.
