Velvety 3–6" deep violet flowers with purple red bars make a stately impact in the landscape—and hummingbirds love it. It's perfect for growing over fences, arbors, trellises or garden supports in the garden. It hangs on with curling petioles, so it won't damage anything if you want to train it up perennial shrubs like roses. It grows to a moderate height, reaching up to 6–8' tall. This Polish variety was a 2002 Silver Medal of Honor winner at the Planatrium Arboricultural Trade Fair. Clematis
Julka Clematis is in the YELLOW pruning category. It blooms best on old wood, but it can also bloom on new wood. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering. See our Stoplight Pruning Guide for more information.
