The cold, crisp winter landscape holds little appeal after months of snow and ice. But just as the last days of the season come into view, this gorgeous Hellebore makes its first appearance. King Double Pink Lenten Rose is a lush variety that bears exuberant double flowers with eye-catching red speckles. The blooms are quite large, growing to 4" across, and really steal the show as they pop up in late winter—sometimes even through snow. Low growing and drought tolerant, it makes an exceptional ground cover or accent plant for bare spaces between evergreens and shrubs. This shade-loving plant is deer resistant and very versatile.
