It's late winter and the landscape has been barren for months, making you think spring may never arrive. That's when the first blooms of King Double White Lenten Rose make their appearance and provide the first glimpses of the season to come. Often pushing up through the snow, these lushly double, white Hellebores are accented with bright green centers. Low-growing plants are dependable, drought tolerant and deer resistant. Extra-large, 4" double flowers cover the plants and give borders, pots and bare garden sites loads of beauty with a bit of texture and a touch of color. Plant them between evergreens where they will thrive in the shade. Makes an outstanding flowering ground cover too.
