Product Description

Named for the majestic Milan opera house la Teatro alla Scala, La Scala Iris brings heightened drama to the landscape. This award–winning iris is dressed in the regalia of the ballet in an array of bright and subtle tones. The greyed–lavender hues of the standards mix with pinks and blend to a violet–orchid center. The falls lean pale pink to peach, with nuanced violet veining and red–orange beard. This iris is nothing short of impressive. At a height of 37 inches, La Scala bearded iris towers beautifully above the garden or in a mass planting. Be sure to plant enough iris rhizomes to collect cut flowers for the vase—you'll want to see this flower indoors and out. Iris germanica 'La Scala'
