This stunning anemone-flowered peony features a double row of deepest pink petals surrounding a frilly pink, cream and pale apricot "bomb" at the center. It is sweetly fragrant, attracting beneficial pollinators to the springtime border. Like all herbaceous peonies, lovely Lady Liberty is a long-lived, easy-care perennial with glossy, dark green foliage that stays attractive all season long. This variety only asks for a well-drained location in full sun, and it will reward you with vases of fragrant blooms for years to come. Plus, Lady Liberty adds the lasting quality of its cut flowers and an interesting two-toned coloration to the equation. Paeonia 'Lady Liberty'

Peonies have few requirements: give them a sunny well-drained location, plant 2-4' apart, with the eyes (new buds at the crown) no more than 2" below soil level and apply fertilizer or compost in spring. They take a while to establish, often 3 years before the first bloom—but the wait is worth it. They are heirloom quality. Let them grow undisturbed and they will bring joy to you and your loved ones through the decades.
