Product Description

A rich, red reblooming iris named in honor of the veterans of the Iraq War, Lest We Forget Iris stands proudly at 37 inches tall. Introduced by hybridizer George Sutton, Lest We Forget was awarded an Honorable Mention by the American Iris Society in 2012. Gleaming upright standards shine in guardsman red, while the falls contain a wash of sunset gold. Gold beards complement the ruffled red flowers. Lest We Forget is a vigorous rebloomer, opening once in early spring and again in late summer. Set this iris near other reds, yellows, or whites to truly showcase its beautifully varied petals. Planting Instructions: Set rhizome so bottom half is below ground level. Firm well and water thoroughly. Plant where they will get at least 5 hours of sun per day.
Winter Care: Mulch in colder climates and remove in early spring before growth starts.

Pruning: Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6" fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
