This sweet potato vine is a powerful, fast grower—perfect for an annual planter. If you're deep in the south, in zones 10 and 11, it can also make a great ground cover. Marguerite will perform as the spiller in a "spiller-thriller-filler" container garden, and the bright chartreuse color will light up the whole display. Unless you're in the deep south, it's not going to give you flowers, but the beautiful foliage steals the show anyways. Technically there will be some tubers you can harvest and eat, they're just very starchy and not as sweet as the commercial varieties. Ipomoea batatas 'Marguerite'
