Easy to grow and very versatile, Marie Frances is a reliable spring-flowering shrub that makes a great choice for woodland areas, cottage gardens or specimen plantings. With a height of up to 5' tall, this lilac variety works equally well as a hedgerow screen, too. Its luxuriant, 5-8" long panicles of tiny florets have that old-fashioned lilac scent, but the soft salmon-pink color is something altogether new. Bouquets and arrangements benefit from the addition of just one flower head. Attracts butterflies and bees by the dozens. This compact shrub is an ideal choice for smaller gardens, too. Prefers moist, fertile soil and a full-sun planting site. Deer resistant. 4" pot. Syringa vulgaris 'Marie Frances'
