Native to Northeastern Turkey, fritillary, or Michael's Flower, is a woodland lily with a bell-like shape and carefree growing habit. This fritillaria grows up to five pendulant, burgundy-purple florets on each stem that are trimmed in bright yellow. An award-winner for its multitude of blooms and sweet, honey-like perfume, Michael's Flower will add whimsy to any woodland garden. Fritillary grow beautifully in sunny borders, rock beds, containers, or any other naturalized area. Deer tend to avoid these dainty flowers, and they grow with ease in any full to part sun location.
