Flowering Date:Late spring
Planting Instructions:Flowers best in full sun. Dig a hole large enough so that roots do not bend. Plant so that the crown is at or just below ground level. Firm soil around the roots and water thoroughly.
Winter Care:Mulch the first winter to prevent the plant from heaving from the ground due to alternating freezing and thawing weather. Remove mulch in early spring, before new growth starts.

Foliage Type:Basal light green foliage has a bristly hairy texture. Foliage goes dormant after flowering and returns each fall.
Pruning:Remove spent flower stems, and remove spent foliage after the plant goes dormant in summer. Spent flower stems or sead heads can be removed after flowering, if desired.
Soil Requirement:Well-drained, average garden soil. Does not like wet soil.
