Product Description

New Millennium is truly an example of where the peony genus is headed--big, bold color in a hardy hybrid. Intersectional, or Itoh, peonies, are hybrids created by crossing a tree peony and an herbaceous peony. The results are both sturdy and beautiful, and, until recently, color variety was limited to pale pinks. New Millennium helped break the trend as a stunning, vibrant intersectional. The blooms are unique for an itoh peony, with petals that can be ruffled or notched, and occasionally highlighted by streaks of cream. The abundant flowers are big and full, as you'd expect for an Itoh. and the lush foliage stays attractive all-season long. Lightly fragrant. Paeonia itoh 'New Millennium'
