Northern Maidenhair Fern

Northern Maidenhair Fern is popular with landscapers for its soft, graceful look and easy-care nature. Really all it needs is nice moist soil. While it grows perfectly well in average garden soil, it can even grow along the edge of a stream. It'll rise quickly to a lower mature height and get quite dense, with circular fronds forming in flat fans. It also lasts all the way from April until the first frost, so all in all this makes a good choice for a sophisticated ground cover you won't have to worry over all season.
