Product Description

Cool-blue tones are made twice as lovely with this spicy-perfumed, award-winning iris. October Sky is a neglecta class iris with light blue standards and dark blue falls. It will produce these beautiful bicolor blooms in spring, and then shows them off again in late summer.

  • Planting Instructions: Set rhizome so bottom half is below ground level. Firm well and water thoroughly. Plant where they will get at least 5 hours of sun per day.
  • Winter Care: Mulch in colder climates and remove in early spring before growth starts.

  • Pruning: Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6" fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.

  • Watering Requirement: Average water needs. Water regularly, do not over water.
