Asclepias tuberosa or Butterfly weed is a North American native plant that is host to the monarch butterfly and a wonderful pollen source that will add value to your landscape. I love this plant.

Love how they attract butterfly's but mine turned out all orange which was a little dissapointing. They do grow quickly and are very hardy.

I received them and they were really well wrapped for shipment. I put the corms in the bed I had prepared for them, not expecting much until next year. But to my surprise, 10 days later 2 of the 3 I ordered are about 20 tall! I won't be surprised if they bloom this year! They are in mostly full sun, with partial shade at different times of the day.

I wanted as much of this plant as I could afford. Ordered from three different nurseries. Spring hill sent the healthiest bare roots and was the least expensive! Every single bare root has come alive with the healthiest butterfly weeds ever. I cannot wait to watch the caterpillars. I ordered a few plants three years ago and had so much fun watching the caterpillars with my daughter that we decided to fill our garden with them this year. Thanks spring hill!!

I planted these two years ago, did not bloom the first year. This year they are just starting to bloom and they are a dark pink color. The butterflies love them. Only wish that the plants I got were not all the same color.

I'd never heard of this plant, but needed another drought tolerant flower to add to a new perennial bed. This one was a great find and a big surprise. It will delight you without needing any attention.

It took me 50 yrs to view this awsome transformation of the worm to butterfly. I Have photos and made everyone come over to take a look. From the eggs to worm to butterfly was a wonderful sight. And in my first year of planting the butterfly weed. I can hardly wait till next year. Thanks so much.

We found the orange variety growing wild on the farm in Tennessee. Dug them up and stuck them several places around the house and have been thrilled since. They multiply and get bigger every year--tons of butterflies and hummingbirds. They seem to thrive in dry conditions with very little water. I highly recommend.

I have the orange variety of Butterfly Weed and this plant is beautiful. It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, & bees. It is a very hardy plant that I have had for several years and it requires very little maintenance.
