These unusual mauve bicolored flowers and their deeply colored veins are a work of art. The stripes across the sepals look as if they were painted by hand. It produces a large number of blooms throughout the season. Pernille Clematis looks amazing on an arch—like a long brush stroke of sheer floral color down the side.
