Product Description

Enjoy sweet success and sweet fruits with this productive persimmon. Chocolate Persimmon bears fruits at a young age, so you'll enjoy deep orange fruits with sweet, chocolate-colored flesh sooner! The non-astringent fruits are tasty eaten fresh, baked into desserts and more. Growing 20-25 ft. tall, the tree is very ornamental. Foliage emerges lime green in the spring, turns dark green in the summer and orange in the fall. Fruits ripen in late October to early November. Requires less than 200 chill hours. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Zones 7-10.

  • Additional Information: Should be havrvested wen firm and has deep color. Will continue to ripen once picked. Non-astringent once ripe. Rich sweet flavor with a hint of fall spice not unlike nutmeg. Bright colored fruit adds color to fall landscape
