Long time clematis fans will be pleased to see Pink Cameo again, it's a treasured heritage clematis that hasn't been widely available lately. We couldn't let that go on—Pink Cameo is too good to pass up. It's very reliably hardy through zone 3. It's early blooming, around May or June on old wood, and then it'll just keep cropping up again randomly with a new set of blooms through summer on new wood. The flowers are very large and can even get up to 8" in diameter. On old wood, some may even double. Many gardeners don't know that clematis are pretty good for cut flowers. The blooms last pretty long in a vase. With such large, beautiful and abundant blooms, Pink Cameo is a good one for this. Clematis 'Pink Cameo'
Pink Cameo Clematis is in the YELLOW pruning category. It blooms best on old wood, but it can also bloom on new wood. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering. See our Stoplight Pruning Guide for more information.
