Another successful Itoh—a crossing of a tree peony and a bush peony—Pink Double Dandy delivers extra-large, deep pink blooms on a robust, winter-hardy plant. Each bloom begins a in a rich lavender pink and ages to deep pink, with a pleasing tuft of yellow stamens in the center. Strong stems hold the fragrant flowers upright, even after a heavy rain. These nearly weather-proof peonies are beautiful and strong. Glossy, green foliage starts out copper-burgundy in the spring and provides interest throughout the season.
