Product Description
It may look delicate with its small, bell-shaped blooms in the softest shade of baby pink, but this lily-of-the-valley is a tough and dependable addition to any shady space. Not only does it reliably appear very early in the spring when not much else will bloom, but even after the flowers are spent, the plant sticks around until late summer when vibrant orange berries appear, and its tight root masses discourage weeds from growing. Plant in groups to get the full effect of the enchanting blooms and sweet fragrance. Makes a great ground cover and spreads rapidly in the shade garden or under trees. Woodland areas and rock gardens also benefit from this aggressive but not invasive plant. If you really want to enjoy its delightful scent and charming flowers, bring a few stems indoors for displaying in a small vase. This deer-resistant plant prefers well-drained soil. Convallaria majalis var. rosea
