Product Description

Free-flowering perennials with orange, red, pink or lemon yellow have an extremely long vase life, making them excellent cut flowers. Planted in borders, they entice butterflies and hummingbirds for several weeks. This beauty is drought tolerant and resistant to garden pests.

  • Planting Instructions: Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots without bending them. Work soil around the roots, firm well and water thoroughly.

  • Additional Information: Attracts butterflies like crazy! Bright orange flowers in early summer are followed by seedpods later on. Excellent as a cut flower or in dried arrangements. Naturalizes well. Protect in exposed sites in winter with a layer of compost or mulch. Competes successfully with grasses. Incorporate a small amount of peat moss or compost into the soil just to help improve drainage. No need for a fertile soil with this plant. Unique characteristics - Attracts Butterflies. Not invasive. Canoe-shaped seed pods. Slow to emerge in the spring.
