Product Description

The Purple Leaf Sand Cherry, sometimes called a dwarf red-leaf plum, is both hardy and beautiful with vibrant color that holds all summer. In fact, sand cherries are an excellent, smaller alternative to purple leaf plums. The Purple Leaf Sand Cherry sports bright red leaves and dainty white-pink, fragrant flowers in spring. In summer, the leaves turn reddish-purple, and the shrub provides small purple fruits loved by songbirds. Darkening to a lush maroon in fall, it ends the season on a rich and vibrant note. This shrub works wonders as a standalone specimen plant, or can add interest to an existing hedge, border, or privacy fence. A beautiful contrast tree to add color to the green foliage in your landscape. Prunus x cisterna
