I purchased 4 of these in spring 2017. 1 was less than half the size of the others. Although all have flourished over the summer, it is still noticeably smaller.
I am also disappointed with the color. These are a bright lavender color from base to tip, not the mix of colors advertised.
Didn't survive 1st year

Received this last fall and planted before winter in NW Indiana. I mulched in the winter but it didn't survive. Maybe it was my clay soil, so I do not recommend if you're around Chicagoland.
Beautiful prolific bushes - cold hardy

I have 6 of these and absolutely love them. They have a nice hedge effect and cover up the ugly 3-4 foot tall service equipment in my back yard. Butterflies love them. The color is not quite as vibrant as I had hoped but that could be due to soil or water. Get them!

Planted in June. By July small buds appeared. By end of Aug. plant grew over 4 feet. Was amazed that some of the flowers were over 6 inches in length with beautiful colors of lavender, orange, yellow and purple in the first 3 months and is still blooming. Can't wait to see what next season brings.

I purchased this last year for a full sun area of my garden. The varigated colors were interesting, the butterflies LOVED it, and it was practically drought tolerant since I did not water it nearly as frequently as I should have yet it bloomed prolifically! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the blooms and overall plant size are smaller than what I was expecting. (The butterfly bushes I've had in the past were much larger.) That being said, it is such a nice plant that I am purchasing a second one this year to better fill in my garden.
